Selected Transactions

Light 

GAEA advised the Samambaia Master fund on the acquisition of a 20% stake in Light. Light is an integrated power utility company, reaching over 11 million people within its concession area and 26% of the State of Rio de Janeiro, including its capital. Light also operates 873 MW of installed power generation capacity. Founded in 1904, Light is one of the most traditional companies in the Brazilian Power & Utilities sector. 

Energisa

GAEA advised the Samambaia Master fund on the acquisition of a 20% stake in Energisa. Energisa is one of the largest power distribution companies in Brazil, operating 11 concessions in 11 Brazilian states, in an area equivalent to 24% of the national territory and reaching over 20 million people. Energisa also has investments in power transmission and distributed power generation.
